Energized, always with a smile on his face and never failing to get the best out of his career. With melodies pumping through his veins and his ongoing passion for snowboarding, Jody Koenders is one of the most ambitious and all round entrepreneurs in sports and music. And in 2010 he’s still ready to take his career to another level!
Jody Koenders – born on May 25th 1979, in Leidschendam The Netherlands – turned his love for traveling, sports and music into a successful career. After living in Sweden for ten years, he moved back to the Netherlands as a thirteen-year-old boy. While studying at school in Holland, Jody already knew his passion for adrenaline and rhythm would get him as far as he’d like to. It didn’t take long before Jody became a professional snowboarder and he successfully trained others as an athlete manager for the past three years. Next to these impressive experiences and determined to expand his horizons, Jody is now fully focusing on his music career and travels the world as a skilful deejay. Success comes with motivation and so his story continues…

DJ | PRODUCER:
Devoted to the art of music. Being the well talented artist he is, Jody Koenders has already established himself as a well-known deejay in the Dutch party scene. His characteristic and uplifting house sound is being appreciated by all event organisations and big events are happy to have him performing behind the wheels of steel. Besides being known for his overwhelming skills, his producing talent is also one to keep a close eye on.
Growing up in a family where music plays a big part, Jody was inspired to turn music into his career – as well as his mother did. Enjoying many genres, music and melodies came naturally and as a seven-year-old boy he started playing the drums. This rhythm became his main focus and he soon started playing in several bands. Jody devoted most of his time to music and recently completed a producer’s course at the SAE Institute in the Netherlands.

Jody has performed under several DJ names (Jody San, Jody Meyer) and has performed at many popular and big events, such as Sensation, Mysteryland, Dirty Dutch and Indian Summer Festival. He also made the crowd go wild with his mind-blowing sets – at some of the Dutch most favorite events, including F*ckers, Blacklist and Franchise. At these events, Jody performed together with some of the greatest names in this industry, like David Guetta, Erick Morillo and Chuckie. But presenting his mixing skills doesn’t complete the list. Looking back on his many productions, Jody Koenders plans on releasing much more massive productions in 2010. On January 19th, Jody will release his first track (as “Jody Meyer”, his former artist name) and he has set the bar high by continuously aspiring to challenge himself to produce many more. SNOWBOARDING:
Developing skills is an understatement. Jody Koenders managed to keep sports as one of the most important elements in his life and is always prepared to put his board to the test. During the past ten years he definitely proved the world to be undefeatable and despite some physical difficulties, Jody never gives up on his dream!
Lively, dynamic and at all times up for actively chasing his passion. At the age of sixteen, Jody first experienced the sensation of snowboarding. For at least ten years he made this an adventure of his own and as a professional snowboarder he traveled the world to compete with fellow snowboarders. He has already been the Dutch Champion of Snowboarding three times, entered the top 50 worldwide snowboard raking and joined several contests all over the world.
Sadly, Jody got badly injured during the prestigious competition ‘the Arctic Challenge’ in Oslo Norway in 2006, and needed to take a few steps back in his snowboarding career. Luckily, he is still able to live his dreams on his board and he has made sure that this will always be a big part of his life. Despite the fact Jody can’t snowboard on the same level as he did before, he’s still determined to never let anything get in the way of his passion.

And so we will continue to see his career and professionalism grow. Jody Koenders definitely shows us that motivation, passion and true focus survives anything!
